Sourdough Discard Pizza

Recipe: Homemade Sourdough Discard Pizza

Ingredients:

1 cup sourdough discard

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt to taste

Your favorite pizza sauce

Shredded cheese (mozzarella works well, but use any cheese your kids love!)

Optional toppings: pepperoni, sliced veggies, fresh basil, etc.

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a small bowl, mix the sourdough discard with olive oil, garlic powder, oregano, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

3. Pour the mixture onto the parchment paper, spreading it thinly to form your pizza crust.

4. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the edges turn golden and crispy—bake it a bit longer if you like a crunchier crust.

5. Remove from the oven and spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the crust, then sprinkle with shredded cheese.

6. Add any additional toppings you like, then return to the oven for another 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese melts and bubbles.

7. Remove, slice, and serve!
